Fonts re-sized to 96 dpi after install

Hi

New to the Omega Drivers and new to the forums

I installed the latest Omega Drivers. They seem to be working well with my ATI 9700 Pro. There is one small problem. All fonts and icons have been reduced to the "default" Windows setting of 96 dpi. Even when I go into display properties and change the font dpi level to 120% (or more)it does not stick. As soon as I reboot the computer all the fonts sizes return to 96 dpi yet the display properties will say it is at 120. What the heck guys. Anyone know what is wrong? I have never encountered this before.

I did a search and found this thread

This person obviously had the same problem but was not very good at explainng himself and there was never a solution.

I f anyone can point towards a fix I will name my ninth child after you

TIA

Wile

There was a bug in the ATI drivers about a year ago with this very problem so maybe Omega is using an old file for some strange reason as this doesnt occur with with standard ATI drivers these days.

i get it all the time. what you have to do is set your dpi back to 96, apply, reboot, and then set it to 120 and, apply, reboot and it will stick. its probably best to set the dpi back to 96 before you uninstall the old drivers.

I actually already tried that, it didn't stick. I tried going higher also. I will try again.

EDIT:
Nope. Doesn't work at all. Well at least you know about it
