Big Grin H.264 and X800

Wouldn't be nice if ATI make hardware accelerated H.264 for X800 vpu's?

I mean, ATI already thought about it when X1800 was built, and ATI gave some new features to older cards, so why not hw accelerated h.264?

I think i'm not the only one to think about this...

So what do you think about this idea?

i dont think this will happen at all.
think about it for a sec, the x1300 can only smoothly accelerate 460 the x1600 does 720 and the x1800XT can do 1080I

do you think the x800 has the pixel pushing power for that ????

well temporal antialiasing was supposed to be only for X800 series if i'm not mistaken, and then it was "unlocked" to the remaining cards.

Anyway if the card could work together with the CPU it could be much better than nothing
