Extreme ATI Drivers

Anyone know much about these drivers? I was surfing around and came across these and Dled / Installed them and have liked them so far. My biggest question is under its entry in the start menu there is a thing that says "accelerator." You have the option to install "normal, 9500, 9700, or 9800." I have a 9700 pro and do not know what these options mean and cant seem to find an answer. The forum is in another language so I have no clue. I wasnt sure if those were softmod options for non-pros or what?

Thanks

Kevin

that accelerator is only for softmodding and shouldnt be used unless you know you have the correct card.

it can potentialy damage it.

basically if you have a 9500 with L shaped memory (which is a 9700 with some things changed) it will open up the pipes that were locked. and if those pipes havent been damaged then it will work great (if not, then you may have to do something drastic).

but it works for certain cards and you will have to see if your card is compaitible by doing a search on the softmod issue. www.techpowerup.com might have more info for ya, its where it all originated from.

but ya already a topic about it, and they are great sofar.
