For this test we have all in-game settings at their highest level. The resolutions we tested were 1920×1200 and 2560×1600 with 4x anti-aliasing. Anisotropic filtering was set to 16x and HDR enabled.

Due to its age it is possible to play Oblivion at some very high detail levels but still maintain very good performance. At both 2560×1600 and 1920×1200 with anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering enabled both cards stay above forty frames per second which is great.

What we are also able to see from these results is that once again the Black Edition card is able to open up a significant performance lead over the reference card in a less demanding environment. Looking at the average framerate at 1920×1200 as an example, the XFX product is fifteen frames per second faster.
