The machine is supplied with all of the necessary accessories and manuals you will need and the system also ships with a free Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard which are useful for everyday use however we wouldn’t recommend them for hardcore gaming.

The Novatech Zu is built inside a Hiper Osiris chassis which earned our Editor’s Choice award for its outstanding build quality and strong thermal performance. It is certainly a good looking case with its black, brushed finish and meshed side window. The front panel also offers a useful array of ports while the Novatech logo is tastefully implemented. It is definitely a smart looking machine so let’s see what goodies Novatech have equipped it with.

The real show stealer in the machine is the brand spanking new PowerColor HD4890, ATI’s fastest single GPU solution available on the market at the moment and we are thoroughly impressed with it. Sitting on the 4890’s PCB is a 55nm RV790 GPU featuring 16 ROPS and 800 unified shaders. The 1gb of GDDR5 memory is connected via a 256bit wide bus and the core and memory are clocked at 850MHz and 950MHz respectively. This is a card which will definitely make a positive impact in our games testing later on.

Sitting in the AM3 socket on the Asus M4A78T-E is an AMD Phenom II X4 810 clocked at 2.6GHz, as you can see the processor is sitting underneath the stock AMD heatsink so we wouldn’t really recommend attempting to overclock this machine without having the part replaced. The M4A78T-E board is exactly the same we saw featured in the Cyberpower Perseus and is one of the latest offerings from Asus with support for AM3 processors and DDR3 ram, the board also has Crossfire support should you wish to expand upon your graphics solution in the future and onboard HD3300 graphics which will be helpful in an emergency.

Sitting next to the processor on the motherboard are two sticks of 2GB Corsair XMS3 DHX DDR3-1600. Additional components include a Blu-Ray reader and a 500GB 7,200 RPM hard drive.

Powering the system is a 650W Corsair TX unit which previously received our Editor’s Choice award.

The machine offers a promising configuration which we’ll put to the test after we take a look at the optional 24” monitor Novatech sent us with the system.
