The new patch for Red Faction: Guerrilla includes several new features for players to get their hands around.
A new wrecking crew mode called Challenge Mode intros three rounds of distinct submode, weapon and backpack settings per level. Each player plays through the entire three rounds to try and achieve the highest score possible. All of the wrecking crew modes can now be played in single player as well including Challenge Mode. New leader boards have been added for the Challenge mode and can be used to compare score with your friends online. The four pre-order bonus levels for Wrecking crew are now unlocked for everyone to enjoy. Custom matches can be setup in multiplayer using new options to disable specific weapons and backpacks. Mining ore that has not been mined will now show up as purple pulsing dots on your mini-map, this was added to help players achieve the Working the Land trophy.
THQ have also included support for the new DLC: Demons of the Badlands which is due for release on the 13th August.
Also included in the Patch are some fixes to improve game play and minor bugs such as ties no longer counting as a loss on the multiplayer leader boards.
