Acer have just released the world’s first smartphone which combines a 800×480 touchscreen with the Qualcomm 1ghz Snapdragon processor. The really interesting part however is that the device is using the newest version of Google’s Android OS – version 1.6 codenamed Donut.
Although detailed specs are thin on the ground at a press conference today in London we found out that the phone has a 5MP camera, support for Acer Sync (similar to Apples Mobile Me) as well as a geo tagging facility.
It does look rather sexy, and we will give you more detailed news on the device when Acer release more information.
