Home » News » Adobe quietly release 29 security fixes Adobe quietly release 29 security fixes Stuart Davidson October 14, 2009 News We reported last week on the plethora of security and bug fixes for Microsoft operating systems which were released yesterday however Adobe also sneaked out fixes for 29 security vulnerabilities in their Reader and Acrobat applications – which apply to Windows, Mac and Unix systems. Last week they released a warning that there were possible attacks exploiting critical flaws that could cause the programs to crash and even enable remote attackers to take control of machines and install malware. So while Windows clearly had some important issues to fix with 34 patches covering seven application families and three Operating systems it makes you wonder how many holes Adobe had to plug with 29 fixes for just two applications.
