Microsoft are getting ready to unleash their biggest ever patch this coming Tuesday.
It consists of 13 bulletins which comprise 34 security flaws across a huge plethora of Microsoft products. Eight of these earn the highest rating of ‘critical’.
Two of the updates address a vulnerability in SMBv2 (server message block version 2) and a security flaw in the FTP component of Microsoft’s IIS web server software.
The other patches range from SQL server fixes to Office and IE bug fixes. All supported versions of Windows will need patched which includes Windows 7 even though it hasn’t officially been released (October 22).
