G. Skill have today announced the release of their Falcon II Sata II 2.5″ Solid State Drive. The new drive features the Indilinx ECO Controller and is matched with 34nm NAND flash memory which has a greater data density for a positive impact on affordability for the end user. As well as a 64MB DRAM cache and specialised controller design the Falcon II SSD provides the ideal long life system thanks to advanced wear leveling algorithms.
The peformance of the 64GB is rated at 220/110 (Read/Write) while the 128 and 256 are rated at 220/150 (Read/Write). The interesting news is that the drives feature the latest Indilinx 1819 firmware which offers improved support for the Windows 7 TRIM command.
The Falcon II provides Windows 7 users with an Ideal SSD solution for high performance and stability. The drives are supplied with a 2 year warranty.
