News is just in that Intel are going to release three new 32nm dual core Arrandale CPU’s (Calpella platform) in 2010. The processors are the Core i7 640UM clocked at 1.2ghz – Core I7 520UM (1.06ghz) – Core i7 620UM (1.06hgz) and the intended date for arrival is around March-May 2010.
These three new 32nm processors will be targeting the mid and high end market and Intel are going to be phasing out the Core 2 Duo SU9600.
These CPU’s are aimed at the ultra thin notebook market and they are the first batch before Intel launch more in Q3 2010 – this has been confirmed to Heaven Media by a few insiders in the laptop industry early today. Around the same time Intel are also phasing out the SU7300, SU2300 and Core 2 Solo SU3500 CPUs and will counter this by launching a new improved Celeron CPU which will be priced around the same as the current Celeron 743 with a significantly higher level of performance.
