Nvidia CEO denies rumours of X86 plans

With all the new ATI cards, Nvidia are very much out of the limelight right now, however when this happens we always start to hear rumours on upcoming technology. The latest was that Nvidia had planned to make X86 processors – CNET recently chatted to Jen Hsun Huang, their CEO and he simply answered “no” when asked if they were developing a X86 chip. It looks as if the guy has had heard enough on the subject to keep the answers short and to the point.

Huang also stated that Nvidia’s goals revolve around parallel computing, GPUs and Tegra. Huang also said that Nvidia will focus on TSMC for their foundry needs – “Globalfoundries is AMD’s fab. Our strategy is TSMC.”
