Akasa Freedom Force – Installation

The installation of the Freedom Force cooler is relatively easy, especially given the large size of the product. First we select the location for the four hexagonal stand-offs found onto the cooler’s base. The stand-offs are already there but they are placed into the more commonly used holes and may have to be moved in order for the cooler to be suitable for the selected card. After ensuring that the stand-offs at the cooler’s base are properly aligned with the holes of the card we have to turn it upside down and place it on the cooler, then screw the nuts onto the stand-offs. Finally we connect the fans to a 3-pin power connector.

In the picture above you can see how our Sapphire HD4850 looks like after we installed the Freedom Force on it. The large cooler extends over the rear and side of the card but only by one cm and so it should not cause any problems when installed inside a normal or large ATX case.
