Asus today announced that it is ready to support Intel’s upcoming 32nm processors which run on the X58 chipset based boards. Support is available through BIOS updates in their Socket 1366 motherboards such as the P6X58D which is pictured above.

Chie-Wei Lin, General Manager for the Asus motherboard team said:

“This new processor architecture accommodates up to six cores and significantly improves CPU performance. By enabling the architecture in our award-winning X58-based motherboards, we can deliver one of the fastest personal computing platforms in history and we are very excited about it.”

6-Cores and USB 3.0/SATA 6GB/s… sounds very nice.
