Microsoft refute claims of ‘black screen of death’

Product image

We reported yesterday that security firm Prevx stated that a change to Windows registry after an update was causing some users to experience hard locks and a ‘black screen of death’.

Microsoft have announced that this is in fact incorrect and Prevx have been forced to apologise to Microsoft for the ‘inconvenience” caused to the operating system giant.

Microsoft have claimed that the black screen issues could in fact be caused by more serious Malware and they are urging their customers to continue updating their Operating systems and to make sure they use anti virus and anti spyware applications to keep their OS in perfect running order.
