VIA today announced the launch of their VN1000 chipset which is designe for next geneneration all-in-one PC’s. The VN1000 is a DirectX 10.1 chipset which includes the VIA Chrome 520 IGP and pairs up with the VT8261 Southbridge.
Chrome 520 supports use of anti-aliasing, texture cube arrays FP32 filter and blendable SNORM formats. The ChromotionHD 2.0 video processor provides acceleration for Blu-Ray content and supports HDMI and DisplayPort as well as per pixel de-interlacing, gamma correction, de-blocking, sharpening, emboss and neon effects. It is also capable of widescreen display scaling.
Other highlights of the Chipset include DDR3 Support (16gb), compatibility with VIA’s new Nano 3000 and PCI-Express (1x Eight Lane and 4x 1 Lane).
