Intel’s 32nm lineup

Intel will be announcing their new range of 32nm processors at CES this week but we can give you a sneak peek into the line-up with a full review to follow later today. “Westmere” as it is known will show significant improvements over the previous “Nehalem” architecture, including a process shrink to 32nm but the most interesting aspect is the introduction of processors with on die GPU dubbed “HD Graphics”.

Intel’s roadmap shows that will see Core i5 and i7 models launched shortly and a very lightweight model of the i3 to launch later in the year. Currently there is no mention of Quad core models but we are sure to see them joining the pack soon. “Clarkdale” is the core name for the desktop iterations and will see Core i5 and Core i3 models with “Arrandale” the basis for the mobile side with i7, i5 and i3 processors available.
