Warlock of Firetop Mountain

Warlock of Firetop Mountain

Back in the early eighties, there was a phenomenon going on around Fighting Fantasy games and thanks to the iPhone, they are back!

The first installment available for the iPhone is the original classic book one Warlock of Firetop Mountain. For those not familiar with the books, they were part of the Fighting Fantasy series, an incredible set of books written, initially by Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson and released from 1982 onwards. In the books, you would roll a dice to decide your fate or fighting and make choices about where you went in the book, unlike traditional books read from cover to cover, you would flit about the book from front to back and back again.

Big Blue Bubble Inc. announced today that the first Fighting Fantasy game book, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain, is now available on iPhone and iPod Touch. For the first time ever, you have the opportunity to explore the world of Titan on a portable screen bringing the adventure with you wherever you go.

There is no word on the release of other Fightin Fantasy books for the iPhone just yet, but one would assume if this proves as popular as the original 15 million book selling series, it will lead to further books being ported over in time.
