PC Gamers across the world can experience the multiplayer aspect of Command & Conquer 4 ahead of the games release in the United States on March 16th. All they need do is join the open multiplayer beta, keys for which are now being made available by Electronic Arts.
The multiplayer element in the RTS can be up to 5v5 and there are four different maps to be made avialable. The Lead Designer, Samuel Bass, explained what players could expect:

Players can expect the fast-paced strategic RTS action theyve come to know and love in the Command & Conquer franchise augmented with new gameplay elements that really ratchet up the intensity, especially in our 5v5 multiplayer modes.”
The maps included will feature four maps, each with a very different landscape, and players will have to engage in key strategic battles across the maps in order to win. It will bring a new element of team work to the C&C series that hasn’t been explored before.
In addition Electronic Arts have announced the game will feature a “Persistent Player Progress” system where players gain experience as they play, this translating directly to ranks and also may be linked to hidden unlockables in the game. Experience earned in the beta will be transferred across to players when they switch to the final game. Pre-orders are available for the finished game and will come with the exclusive “Tiberian Twilight” soundtrack as well as a bonus mission only available in pre-order packs.
The game goes on sale on the 16th March in America, with the European release following shortly after on the 19th. The beta is available from here:
