Courtney Love Says Kurt Cobain Would Love Guitar Hero

Despite being embroiled in a legal battle with Guitar Hero creators Activision, Courtney Love found time to make light of the situation by saying that Kurt Cobain, her deceased husband, would have enjoyed the game and seen the funny side. The legal battle arose as a result of the game allowing players to select an avatar of Kurt Cobain, frontman for the famouse Seattle group Nirvana. However, the Hole singer isn’t stepping down from her legal battle with Activision over the use of Cobain’s image in the game. He is not the only music personality utilised in this way and Gwen Stefani was the first to become involved in a legal battle with Activision over the use of her image. Other legal action could follow after rulings in those court cases. The always verbally expressive Courtney Love made the comments in an NME interview where she said:”What p**ses me off the most about it is I think Kurt would be fine with having five Kurt Cobains singing the (Spice Girls) song Wannabe, like, ‘Tell me what you want, what you really really want.’… I think he’d find that really funny. But at the same time it’s gross what they did. Gwen (Stefani) started the lawsuit. I have really good lawyers now and will join that lawsuit. There was this grey area and they f**ked the lot of us. They didn’t f**k Jack White, but they f**ked Gwen, f**ked Johnny Cash and f**ked Kurt… It’s just gross. This is the rock ‘n’ roll business, this is what people do. They are sleazy; they do sleazy things.”
