Boasting a power consumption of just 160W and an impressive idle consumption of just 30W using Sapphire’s own Dynamic Power Management.
The Sapphire TOXIC Edition HD 5850 runs factory overclocked to 765MHz core and GDDR5 running at 1125MHz (4500MHz effective). Sapphire have slightly overclocked the Vapor-X too at 735MHz core and GDDR5 at 1050MHz (4200MHz). Sapphire claim that the Vapor-X cooler runs 15 degrees C cooler and 10 deciBels lower in noise when compared to the standard cooler found on the Radeon HD 5850 in its own testing.
