While it may have a while to go before it can break the records set by Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has gone on to become the best-selling March release ever in North America and Europe.
After coming out in the first week of this month it has now sold over 2.3 million copies according to Electronic Arts. Other statistics include that players have amassed 81 billion points in online play, unlocked 43 million weapons and new equipment and 6 million YouTube videos of gameplay have been recorded.
The official BFBC2 Twitter has got 44,000 followers too, making it the largest of any EA game. All of this points to a rosy future.
Even with all this Modern Warfare 2 is still “the daddy” – for now at least.
