The Xbox 360 release of the Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package expansion occurred today and has immediately been hit by technical problems rendering it useless.
The Xbox Live editor Daniel Maher Tweeted:
“Stimulus Package update: We’re looking into why they aren’t working, but we suspect a new title update is required and is due shortly.”
The issue prompted an angry reaction, some of which was misplaced towards Maher despite having no control over the issues.
“Messenger = shot,” he added later.
The Stimulus Package had already been at the centre of an angry reaction from Modern Warfare 2 players who weren’t happy at the cost for five maps. Robert Bowling from Infinity Ward defended the move saying they’ll add “so much mileage” that “no one’s going to be disappointed”.
The Stimulus Package costs 1200 Microsoft Points equivalent of 10.20.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 released a free of charge map pack today, another chapter in their battle with Modern Warfare 2.
