AMD have new low-end processors scheduled for release.
Fudzilla reports that AMD is going to release some new dual-core and triple core processors for those with a budget in mind or looking for a good processor for a HTPC.
The Athlon II X2 260 will run at 3.2GHz whilst the Athlon II X2 220 will be at a more steady 2.6GHz. The processors have the same thermal rating as their predecessors of 65W ACP.
There are triple core processors on the way – Athlon II X3 445 and 415e, at 3.1GHz and 2.5GHz respectively. The 415e is expected to have a 45W ACP rating.
