Intel releases statement about minerals acquired in the Congo that may contribute to war.
Intel sources some of its fine processor ingredients from places where there is war. The actual press release is aimed at its suppliers that acquire minerals and metals from places like war torn Democratic Republic of Congo.
All Intel suppliers who use any of the metals (Cobalt, Tin, Tantalum, Gold, Tungsten) in their products or materials they supply to Intel have been politely asked to source conflict-free minerals.
Next we will have Intel asking for conflict-free oil to be used in all transportation of the said minerals.
