Futuremark PCMark 7 comes on May 3rd

Futuremark’s recently announced PCMark 7 system benchmarking application finally got its release date and it should debut on May 3rd. The general purpose benchmark for Windows 7, as Futuremark calls it, will be available in three versions, offering up to seven PC tests with more than 25 individual workloads for measuring different aspects of PC performance.

As noted, the PCMark 7 will be available as a Basic, Advanced and Professional Edition version. The first one will, of course, be free and will offer unlimited runs of the main PCMark test suite as well as browsing, searching and comparing the results with those that are published online. The Advanced Edition will offer all seven PC tests with unlimited online results storage (Basic is limited to one), option to hide results from public view, offline result management and advert-free online service. The Professional Edition is pretty much the same as Advanced except for that this one is licensed for commercial PC system testing, has command line automation and priority support.

The price for Advanced and Professional Edition pre-order are US $39.95 and US $995 and you can check them all out here.
