The Build

Building a system in the Define Mini is a very easy process, regardless of the board size selected. This is partially due to the room Fractal Design have left around the motherboard area but also thanks to nice touches such as the easy to add/remove drive bays.

We start by adding in our motherboard and hard drives into the system, the optical drive can be installed too using the provided screws and our PSU sits at the base of the case with all wiring passing through the holes to the back of the motherboard tray.

With these components in place we can place the fan controller in the system at the PCIe slot location and decide on the PCIe card to use before completing the wiring. Clutter is kept to a minimum thanks to the wiring holes and as noted on the last page we can opt for video or audio cards in the PCIe slot depending on our preference.
