Mad Catz launches new Cyborg R.A.T. 7 albino mouse

Mad Catz is known for selling a number of console and PC gaming peripherals, but one of its most acclaimed products has been the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 PC gaming mouse. Today, Mad Catz announced a new version of the R.A.T. 7 mouse that has a new white paint scheme (or “albino” as they call it). But Mad Catz has added more than just a new color to the R.A.T. 7. This new version also increases the optical sensor’s sensitivity level to a new limit of 6400 dpi. This compares to the 5400 dpi upper limit for the original version of the mouse. In addition to the higher sensitively level, the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 Albino mouse also comes with both PC and Mac drivers out of the box.

For people who may not be familiar with the original version of the R.A.T. 7 (or its wireless cousin the R.A.T. 9), this mouse has a number of interesting features. A number of the components can be adjusted or even replaced with different sizes in order to give PC gamers a truly custom fitting PC mouse. It also allows for weight adjustments as well. The mouse has four customizable buttons along with a scroll wheel.  There’s also a “Precision Aim button” that when pressed can drop the mouse’s sensitivity level down so that the player can more easily “snipe” in first person shooter games. The new R.A.T. 7. Albino gaming PC mouse is now on sale for $99.99 in the US.
