Palit GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Light Turbo Limited Edition Graphics Card Review

Power / Temps / Noise

As the Radeon 6900 series, GTX 500 series and no doubt future generations perform power management in a different way to older cards we have changed the way we test power and temperature levels in our reviews. For idle power we list the full system use at the wall after sitting at the desktop with no activity for 5 minutes. Load power is the highest reading we saw for the full system when testing during this review. Temperatures are taken in the same way. Noise levels are taken after a period of prolonged gaming in a scenario which applied maximum load to the GPU.

Palit 560 Ti Reference 560 Ti
Idle Power 92w 100w
Load Power 321w 326w
Idle Temp 31°C 37°C
Load Temp 84°C 86°C

Overall the Palit 560 Ti stacks up well against the reference card in these tests, improving on each of the areas recorded. What is most noticeable about using the card however is the minimal noise that the cooler produces. 560 Ti cards are quiet already but the Twin Light Turbo is even quieter. Here is an example of the noise level at its loudest, taken around 2ft from the card.
