Palit GeForce GTX 560 Ti Twin Light Turbo Limited Edition Graphics Card Review

By this stage in the GTX 560 Ti product lifecycle there are no real surprises as far as card design and performance go, that doesn’t however stop Palit from providing a card which is impressive. This good experience starts with the packaging which is a step up from the normal Palit design and when we unbox the card things improve again. Rather than go with a basic reference design Palit have created a custom PCB, changed the outputs to suit more users and the cooler used looks great, especially so when the red LEDs fire up.

In terms of performance there is nothing to fault about the card. It exceeds the reference design GTX 560 Ti in every game and does so with very low noise levels. The card is near silent at all times. We were also pleased to see that we could play every one of the DX11 games we tested at 1920×1080 which should mean we are well equipped for the few remaining big releases of this year (such as Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare3). The Palit card will of course also support PhysX and tessellation in Batman for enhanced image quality over the console version.

So that brings is to value where we have a card that retails at a competitive level against other GTX 560 Ti models, somewhere between the Radeon 6870 and 6950. A free game would have been nice though to give it an extra selling point but overall the build quality adds to the value when compared with other models.

An impressive GTX 560 Ti which offers low noise cooling, great performance at 1920×1080 in the latest games and a nice LED cooler for those with case windows.
