The Diablo 3 Mouse

The Diablo 3 mouse looks quite similar at first glance to a number of SteelSeries other peripherals however much of the mouse is actually new. Externally we have a soft touch coating with Diablo based artwork, LED logo in the palm area and this is an ambidextrous mouse which is suitable for claw and palm based grips.

As well as the left and right buttons, Omron switches guaranteed for 10million clicks, the Diablo 3 mouse also features thumb buttons on each side of the mouse as well as a LED scroll wheel and sensitivity button on the top surface.

On the underside of the mouse we find three low resistance feet and the SteelSeries Avago 5700CPI gaming grade laser with 1mm lift of distance.

Finally we have a gold plated USB connector which sits at the end of our 2.5m red and black braided USB cable.

The red-themed interface screen pictured here – how are you accessing it? precisely? because when I open the screen through the Steelseries engine it doesn’t look like that AT ALL. I fiddled around with the configurations in a blue-coloured screen and there was this scary message about any saved changes being PERMANENT. I’ve never used a peripheral like this before, and I guess what I’m really looking for is a concise tutorial, but all I could find were reviews like this one… If there’s a more concise tutorial for this mouse that would be awesome… specifically, one that shows exactly HOW you get to the red-themed operations screen shown above.

    • Hi, its possible in the 3 years since the peripherals were released that they have changed the control panel. If you have downloaded the latest version from the SteelSeries website then you have everything you need… and if it doesnt look like ours maybe drop them a mail.

Steelseries are re-releasing this product with new packaging (for the new diablo expansion) and upgraded drivers. I just got the headset for $50 ($38usd) since here in australia they’re doing all sorts of promotions for these d3 gear. I don’t play d3 or plan to but the drivers should be very different to the ones shown in the review.
