XFX lose bet, pay in hardware

Regular readers here at Hardware Heaven will remember that last month we ran an event with AMD called GamExperience where around a thousand of our visitors attended a gathering in London’s “The Brewery”. (Pictures from the event can be seen here.)

At the event were representatives from some of the industry’s key manufacturers including the likes of XFX and their staff were more than happy to make themselves available to chat with the attendees. During one of those chats a random bet/wager was made where our forum member “Stop It” and XFX’s Gavin Pitt went head to head on when Kepler would hit the market. “Stop It” went for March and our friend at XFX said not a chance.

Well we all know what happened on that front and that XFX don’t do loosing (See our 7970 Black Edition review for proof of that) so as a show of good faith they are awarding “Stop It” a brand new R7850 Double Dissipation Black Editon, the very model we reviewed earlier today. With a custom design, low noise, dual fan cooler and build quality well in excess of the competition the card fully supports the latest technology including DirectX 11.1, PCIe 3.0 and Morphological Anti-Aliasing and will soon be winging its way to the winnner.

Three cheers for XFX and be sure to like their (and our) Facebook page to be kept up to date with the latest news and reviews.
