ZOTAC ZBOX Blu-Ray AD05 Plus Mini PC Review

To test the thermal, noise and power aspects of the ZBOX we recorded the readings at load using Furmark and Prime95. Idle readings were taken after the system had been sitting at the desktop, unused for 15 minutes.

  Idle Load
CPU/GPU 54°C 79°C
HDD 38°C 39°C
System 54°C 79°C
Power 21w 34w

For the AD05 ZOTAC have kept the noise levels from the system whisper quiet and it will sit discretely in any environment without causing annoyance. Only when we fully load the APU does the fan spin up noticeably but that isn’t a real world use scenario. On the temperature front the readings here are higher than the AD04 however we are in a more compact chassis so that is to be expected. Power readings remain excellent with the unit never going above 34w when at full load.
