3DMark and Heaven 4.0 Performance

3DMark was tested using the Fire Strike benchmark and its Extreme Profile.


Heaven 4.0 was tested using the Extreme pre-set.


For the majority of this review we will be focusing on comparing the EVGA GTX 770 SC to an overclocked Radeon 7970 GHz Edition card. For the above tests we have added a stock 770 however so that we can see what EVGAs clock changes add to the reference design.

So looking at the results we see that the GTX 770 scores around 200 points less than the EVGA version in 3DMark which also means we move past the 7970 result. The same occurs on Heaven 4.0 where EVGA are once again the fastest. Time for some real world gaming…

  1. I won’t go into too much technical detail, but the GTX 770 is essentially a repackaged GTX680. As a layman that may sound like a bad thing, but it’s actually a good thing, since you are paying over one hundred less dollars to buy the 770
