At CES 2014 TUL Corporation (A leading Manufacturer of AMD graphics cards) are going to show off several new products. Including ‘the most eye-catchy model’ the PowerColor PCS+ R9 290X which they are hoping will impress.
As well as the PCS+ R9 290X the PCS+ R9 290 is also on show. The cards run at a higher frequency (1050MHz/1040MHz at core) and the memory is set to 1350MHz which is 100MHz higher than ref. design.
‘To give the OC performance as well as stability, the PowerColor utilises the exclusive Gold Power Kit at both PCS+ models, including Digital PWM to decrease the ripple and enhance power efficiency.’
The R9 290X and 290 are equipped with the PowerColor exclusive PCS+ trio fan design which combines three 8015 fans, two sets of aluminium cooling fins and 5pcs heat pipes. This design offers cooling performance which is 24% cooler and 17% quieter than ref. design. To give the cards a ‘Luxury’ feel they have built the cards with a metal black plate and metal shroud, hoping to make the cards one of a kind.
