Google unveils the Nexus 6, built by Motorola

For the past couple of months there has been great anticipation for the release of Google’s latest Nexus handset. Today, Google has announced the Nexus 6, a device that will be built by Motorola and run Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Nexus 6 will have a 5.96″ 2560 x 1440 display (493 ppi), Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 420 GPU, 13MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization, 2MP front-facing camera, and be available with either 32GB or 64GB of memory.

To power this massive device, Motorola has included a huge 3220mAh battery that should be able to get you over 24 hours of battery life on a single charge. The device will also feature robust sound thanks to its dual front-facing speakers.

The Nexus 6 will be available for pre-order on October 29, but it won’t be cheap. The device will be priced from $649 off-contract, although it will also be available on carrier plans with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, BestBuy, and U.S. Cellular.
