Valve has announced the first Steam Machines, Steam Link, and the Steam Controller will be released on November 10. The first machines come from Alienware and CyberpowerPC and they begin at $449.
Alienware’s systems will cost between $449 and $749. The least expensive model has a Core i3 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The most expensive comes with a Core i7 processor and 8 GB of RAM. All models come with a Steam Controller.
CyberpowerPC has three models that’ll be available. They cost $499, $729, and $1419. The best one includes a NVIDIA GTX 980 video card and 16 GB of RAM.
Steam Machines are upgradeable. Dell and Valve have said there will be 1000-1200 games available for the platform at launch. Pre-ordering the Steam Machines means you can receive them October 16, a month before the retail release.
