A couple pairs of smart sensor-filled shoes that have been supported by Samsung will be shown at Mobile World Congress next week. The shoes, called Iofit, come from Salted Venture, a firm that came out of Samsung’s Creative Lab. Two Iofit models exist, with one targeted at lifters and the other at golfers.
Both models come with pressure sensors and accelerometers that can record various things about your training. Based on the collected data, the shoes can tell you about your activities in real-time and provide recommendations for the future.
Salted Venture is expected to crowdfund the shoes after it unveils Iofit’s prototype. The lifting shoes will cost $199 and the golf shoes will cost $259.
