Nintendo Switch To Go On Sale On March 3 Priced At $299

During Nintendo official press conference, Nintendo has finally detailed its upcoming gaming console. Nintendo Switch comes with two detachable, one-handed controllers that and a Switch Dock for connecting it to TV, and will go on sale on March 3, priced at $299.

The console is powered by custom NVIDIA Tegra processor and Nintendo promises “amazing experience” with up to 2.5 to 6 hours of gameplay. There is a 6.2-inch display with only 720p resolution and 32 GB of internal storage that is expandable via microSDXC cards. Not much has been said about the console, apart it will be a mobile system with portable controllers.

The company focused on gaming. The JoyCon controllers include motion sensors and force feedback. There is also a button dedicated to capturing screenshots to share on social media, with video capture coming in the future. It also includes an IR camera for sensing the motion of a player’s hand.

Although the games will be region free, the upcoming expanded online services will be a for-pay service. An updated version of the Wii U’s Mario Kart 8 titled Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, will launch for Switch on April 28.

Other games include Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (March 3), Super Mario Odyssey 2017 holiday season), Splatoon 2 (this summer) and more.

March 3 is a global launch, meaning the console will be released in Japan, U.S., Canada and major European countries.
