3 Radeon RX 6700 cards in the coming weeks ?

According to the latest rumors, AMD intends to launch 2 RX 6700 XT with different performances . According to the leak, it is indicated that we will have a model called “ASIC A” and another one called “ASIC B”, which we could compare to what we could find at Nvidia at one time. We would thus have a GPU that supports higher speeds and a less well-born GPU that would not be very receptive to overclocking.

2 versions for the AMD RX 6700 XT?

The version identified as ASIC A would have a 230W TGP and would be used by brands for customs models with factory overclocking. The version identified as ASIC B, would have a TGP of 189W and would be intended for reference graphics cards or custom models without overclocking.

Both variants would arrive with frequencies between 2500 and 2600 MHz. They would have 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM memory at 16 GHz on a 192-bit memory interface. In the theory we would have a bandwidth of 384 GB/s. Concerning the launch, it is scheduled for mid-March. According to regular leaks, the RX 6700 XT would be 20 to 25% faster than its big sister the Radeon RX 5700 XT.

An RX 6700 in April

In April, an RX 6700 equipped with 6GB of GDDR6 should be launched. Based on Navi 22 XL, we don’t know much about its positioning at the moment.
