6900 XT Nitro+ Special Edition: an overclocked version for Sapphire!

6900 XT Nitro+ Special Edition: an overclocked version for Sapphire!

After having announced its RX 6900 XT Toxic Extreme Edition Sapphire announces a new graphics card. This time, it’s the RX 6900 XT Nitro+ Special Edition, a version that goes even further than the original model!

6900 XT Nitro+ Special Edition: the same, but with a better OC!

Sapphire RX 6900 XT Special Edition

Compared to the original Nitro+ model, this Special Edition offers three light fans of the same size (100 mm). Indeed, on the first card, the middle mill is smaller than the other two. For the rest, we have a particularly worked heatsink. The latter aligns several blocks of aluminum fins and even offers its own cooling module for memory chips and VRMs.

However, what interests us here are the increased frequencies compared to the “basic” version. This model has a boost of up to 2365 MHz compared to 2135 MHz for the game boost. For comparison, the non SE version goes up to 2285 MHz in boost against 2050 MHz in game.

There are four video outputs. These display an HDMI 2.1 VRR and four DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC. As for the power supply, it has two 8-pin PCIe connectors backed up by a six-pin PCIe. This may seem like a lot, but it’s a relatively standard configuration for this type of card.

Currently, we do not know the price of this model. Despite an announced availability, we still can’t find any trace of it in our stores.

Here is Sapphire’s datasheet!
