A GALAX RTX 3080 under LN2, what do you get?

A GALAX RTX 3080 under LN2, what do you get?

Our Brazilian colleagues at TecLab have already tackled the overclocking of the GALAX RTX 3080 under LN2. The model used is a card from GALAX, basically, not having any particular advantage for a passage under LN2. Our colleagues used a soldering iron to move some components on the back of the PCB to allow the bucket to be placed. The frequency was pushed to 2300 MHz during this cold session.

The good news is that our colleagues did not encounter any problems under cold conditions, i.e. no coldbug or coldboot! Basically, the board accepts very low temperatures without preventing it from working or losing the display. This first session under cold allowed them to obtain the second place in the world at Fire Strike Ultra with a total score of 12815 points.

Session sous froid pour la RTX 3080 de Galax

No doubt other records will be broken in the coming weeks knowing that a KingPin version of the RTX 3090 will arrive after the official launch on September 24th.
On our side, the cards are starting to arrive in the lab and we will be happy to give you our impressions on their overclocking potential.

In the meantime, if you want to share your experiences of buying the RTX 3080 or follow the advice of those who have rushed at it, this is the place to be.
