Alpine 23: a very basic Arctic ventirad for the AM4 socket

After announcing the arrival of a massive IOA in the company of the Liquid Freezer II 420we go back to something more basic. Indeed, the Swiss brand Arctic announces its Alpine 23, a small dissipater that couldn’t be more basic!

Alpine 23: a simple heatsink for AM4 sockets!

With this Alpine 23, the manufacturer offers us a very compact reference. Indeed, with dimensions of 121 (W) x 98.6 (D) x 65 (H) mm, it cannot be said to be particularly imposing. Same for the weight with its 275.5 gr, it will prove to be particularly light.

Moreover, these contained dimensions and weight can be explained by the presence of a very basic radiator. Arctic opts for a radbox style product. Thus, we find aluminum fins directly machined in the mass. However, there will be no heat pipes or copper base to convey the heat to the radiator.

A 90 mm fan is also fitted on top of the unit. The latter, white in color and powered by PWM, will operate from 100 RPM to 2000 RPM. Unfortunately, no details are given regarding air flow or static pressure. It is only known that the bearing will be of the FDB type.

On the other hand, given the simplicity of construction of the unit, fortunately, the price does not rise. On this subject, the Swiss brand announces its product at 11.99€, an ideal solution to replace a lost or non-functional radbox. On the other hand, it can only be installed on an AM4 socket!
