OCC_FrTeam February 26, 2021 News At the end of 2020, Arctic announced the arrival of a small, economical AM4 socket heatsink. With its Alpine 23, the brand offered us an economical solution to cool its CPU. This time, the manufacturer is offering a new version: the Alpine 23 CO designed to run 24/7. Alpine 23 CO: an enduring dissipater! In itself, there will be nothing revolutionary in the shape of this dissipater since it retains its original form. Thus, we find an aluminum block in which fins are machined. However, behind this simplicity lies the compact dimensions of 121 (W) x 98.6 (D) x 65 (H) mm. Same for the weight where he boxes in the “featherweight” category with his 275.5 gr. Clearly, not enough to tear out a socket or motherboard. Ventilation will be provided by a 90 mm low consumption fan. Indeed, the brand announces a conso of only 0.72W! For the rest, the mill turns from 100 RPM to 2000 RPM, moreover, no other feature is announced. However, the mill wants to be very durable with its double ball bearing of Japanese origin, the brand intends it to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As far as socket compatibility is concerned, this Alpine 23 CO will only be installed on AM4 platforms. Its mounting system is simple as it has two hooks, taking advantage of AMD’s original mounting mechanism. We finish with the price which will be very sweet as you can imagine. Indeed, this heatsink is displayed at 11.99€ on the brand’s website. In stores, it appears on Amazon at a little over 14€. Click here for the Arctic data sheet! Share On
