AMD FSR: DLSS competitor available June 22

AMD has finally announced a date for the availability of its FSR technology “FidelityFX Super Resolution”. For the record this solution will be the competitor of NVIDIA’s DLSS. The technology was presented in Godfall, an AMD title of optimized around their RDNA 2 architecture.

AMD FSR: a significant performance improvement.

There’s no denying it, after a chaotic start, Nvidia has managed to impose its DLSS technology as an indisputable argument in the choice of an RTX 30 card against the AMD Radeon RX 6000 series. We knew that AMD was preparing an answer, this one has now been officially unveiled with an availability date set. FSR is compatible with AMD Radeon GPUs from Polaris and up to RDNA 2. The technology also supports NVIDIA Pascal, Turing and Ampere GPUs. Nerf of the war, AMD has confirmed that FSR will be supported by 10 studios on different engines. Many partnership announcements are expected to be disclosed on June 22, when the technology is officially launched.
