Aorus P1200: a power supply with LCD screen from Gigabyte!

Aorus P1200: a power supply with LCD screen from Gigabyte!

Direction Gigabyte which announces a new high-end power supply. Indeed, with its Aorus P1200W, the brand unveils a power supply very full of functionality. In particular, there is an LCD screen integrated directly into the shell of the block. It would be a shame to hide it behind a power supply cover, don’t you think?

With this new model, Gigabyte offers us a high power block. As you can imagine, this is a reference with 1200W of power and a big certification. Indeed, it is a model certified 80+ Platinum. Moreover, despite its important power, we remain in contained dimensions: 16 cm of maximum depth!

For cable management, the power supply is fully modular, which allows you to carefully select the connectors needed for the assembly. However, said cables will be black and flat. Considering the range, it’s a shame not to find a sheathed connector strand by strand.

Internally, the brand highlights a 140 mm fan with double ball bearings. In addition, it has a semi-passive operation and even has a function to remove dust. It’s simple, the fan will turn in the opposite direction for a few moments ejecting unwanted elements out of the block. By default, this function is activated each time the PC is started.

On the electrical side, Gigabyte highlights the use of 100% Japanese capacitors. Similarly, we will have the right to a single 12V rail as well as the following electrical protections: OVP, OPP, SCP, UVP, OCT and OTP.

In terms of connectors, we have a single 24-pin ATX and two EPS12V 4+4 pins. The PCIe are present in ten while we will have sixteen SATA, six Molex and two Floppy.

Finally, the brand highlights an LCD screen directly integrated into the shell of the block. Through it, as well as through a management software, we will be able to display various things: PC consumption, temperatures, image, custom text, GIF and even a video in MP4 format.

Once again, Gigabyte does not communicate the price of its Aorus P1200W, but that’s usual these days.
