What comes out is that the PS5, set in “Performance” mode, corresponds to these settings: Resolution: Dynamic between 1440p and 2160p Shadows: Very High Environment Details : Between High and Very High Vegetation Density: Above Very-High on PC (sisi) Clouds: High or Very High (undetermined because visually extremely close) Water: High Depth of field: High or Low (undetermined because of visual proximity) Environmental textures: High Texture of the characters: High In summary, we can say that we are not very far from a “full” PC setting. It even has the luxury of having even more vegetation than on PC. Not bad! Now the big question: which PC to run this game with the same settings as on PS5 at 60 FPS? They performed less well than the PS5 with a 2070 Super, but performed better with a 2080 Ti. They believe that the performance is comparable to an RTX 2080 or RTX 2080 Super. AMD’s RX 5700XT is also clearly out-performed. One small drawback, however, is that they used a graphic setting as close as possible to the PS5. But for some details, such as resolution, this was not possible. Indeed they applied a fixed 1440p resolution, instead of a dynamic resolution that goes from 1440p up to 2160p (4K) on the console. Indeed this dynamic resolution is impossible to apply on a PC. If you need an RTX 2080 see RTX 2080 Super to match the PS5 on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in 1440p, then imagine on an intermediate resolution between 1440p and 2160p… It’s starting to tickle an RTX 2080 Ti. It’s a change from the PS4, which offered similar performances to an R9 270 at €180 at the time of its release! Share On
