AXP90-X36 Black : a heatsink for ITX configuration from Thermalright !

AXP90-X36 Black : a heatsink for ITX configuration from Thermalright !

We now move on to a little bit of cooling by going to Thermalright. The brand offers us a small ultra compact heatsink dedicated to ITX configurations. Here is the AXP90-X36 Black, a reference that already says a lot about the product !

AXP90-X36 Black : four heatpipes in 36 mm height !

Thermalright AXP90-X36 Black As you can see, with this new model, Thermalright offers us a really tiny heatsink. Indeed, the latter measures only 95 (W) x 78,4 (D) x 21 (H) mm, height which rises to 36 mm with the fan… Hence the “X36” in its reference. Moreover, it will ensure maximum compatibility with the memory and PCIe slot of the motherboard.

Despite its compact dimensions, the radiator includes a total of 54 aluminum fins. This set is crossed by a total of 4 copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. Finally, we can count on a C1100 copper base offering a high thermal conductivity.

For the ventilation, we find a small mill TL-9015B of 92 mm side for 15 mm thickness. It benefits from a PWM power supply and will operate at 2700 RPM. Admittedly, this may seem high, but to generate a good airflow and a satisfactory static pressure, these fans must turn fast. Moreover, the brand announces 42.58 CFM in airflow and 1.33 mmH2O in static pressure.

Thermalright AXP90-X36 Black

Hop, it fits perfectly in ITX!

We finish with the compatibility list of sockets which is ultra limited: LGA-1000, LGA-1200 and AM4. Considering its size, don’t expect to cool a CPU in LGA-2000, or even worse, TR4.

This way to the Thermalright datasheet !
