AXP90-X53 : an ultra compact heatsink from Thermalright !

A little news from Thermalright that went under our radar. Indeed, a few days ago, the brand announced the arrival of a new ultra compact heatsink. With its AXP90-X53, the manufacturer wants to titillate Noctua and its NH-L9a chromax.black by using a similar concept !

AXP90-X53 : a small and black heatsink !

Thermalright AXP90-X53 With this new model, the brand offers us an ultra compact heatsink with a very limited height. Indeed, the technical data sheet mentions a heatsink of 38 mm height for a width of 94.5 mm and a depth of 95 mm. The weight will also be very light: 330 g with the fan.

In terms of design, we have something very compact offering a full black finish. This is found on the heat pipes, fins, but also on the fan. Consisting of 54 fins, the rad is also crossed by a total of four copper heat pipes of 6 mm each. This is twice as much as the NH-L9a chromax.black from Noctua that we tested here.

.

As a fan, the brand offers us its small TL-9015B in 92 x 15 mm. Powered by PWM, it is capable of running up to 2700 RPM. Moreover, at this speed, it will generate an air flow of 42.58 CFM and a static pressure of 1.33 mmH2O.

Considering the format, it will not be necessary to do the drunks by installing it on a Ryzen 9 5950X for example. The same goes for Intel, where you won’t have to be heavy-handed. As you can see, we are aiming at cooling small chips in socket LGA-1000 and AM4.

For the time being, we do not yet know its selling price.

Here is the Thermalright datasheet !
