Small tour in the world of SSD with Western Digital which offers us a new series of storage. The brand offers us its Black SN750 SE models, affordable references in PCIe 4.0.

With this model, the brand offers us a series consisting of 3 different models, for the moment. Thus, capacities of 250 GB, 500 GB and 1 TB are on the program, all using a PCIe 4.0 interface. You know the format, as it is the very classic M.2 2280.

Internally, the brand opts for a Phison E19T memory controller without DRAM cache. For the memory, it is difficult to say what we are dealing with, the brand remaining discreet at this level. Still, in terms of performance, the brand announces at the maximum:

  • Sequential read/write: 3600 MB/s – 2830 MB/s (1TB)
  • Random read – write : 525k IOPS – 640 IOPS (1Tb)

Before moving on to the prices, a word about the endurance of 200Tb for the 250Gb model and 300Tb for the 500Gb model. The 1Tb model has the highest endurance with 600Tb.

We finish with the prices displayed on the store of the brand. At the most expensive, it will be necessary to count 202,99 € for the model of 1000 Go and 104,99 € for the version in 500 Go. Finally, and not surprisingly, it is the 250GB version that will be the most affordable: 68.99 €. Finally, the warranty will be 5 years. Oh, and according to Anandtech this series will come between the Blue SN550 and Black SN750 non-SE series.
